Rules
1. These terms and conditions, together with any specific rules set out on this website are the Competition Rules (‘Rules’). By entering the competition, all entrants agree to be bound by the Rules.
2. This competition is organised by Andrew Crofts (www.andrewcrofts.com) who retains the right to alter the Competition and the Competition Rules or make exceptions for individual cases at any time without prior notice.
3. The Competition is open to any writer in the world writing in the English language.
4. Entrants work must be previously unpublished.
5. Each Entry must be the original and undisputed work of the Entrant. The Entrant must ensure that if any text or intellectual property belonging to any other person or organisation is used in the Entry, then the Entrant has the approval of such individual or organisation to use that text or property.
6. Multiple Entries are acceptable. Each entry must be submitted separately.
7 . Employees of www.Steffimcbride.com or any of its sponsors and their immediate families will not be eligible to enter the Competition.
8. Entries must be submitted by Monday 8 December 2008, 2300 GMT.
9. The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify any Entry for any reason.
10. The Organisers will not be responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, loss, defect, delay, theft, alteration or any other problem arising in the submission of entries caused by force majeur.
11. The Organisers retain the rights to publicity or marketing activities deemed necessary to promote either the Competition or its Entrants, their Entries, the Competition sponsors and the Organisers themselves. Entrants agree to participate in any reasonable request by the Organisers to fulfil marketing obligations relating to the Competition and their own Entry.
12. Entrants retain all rights to their typescripts.
13. No personal data relating to the Entrant will be disclosed to any third party without the express permission of the Entrant.
14. The prize of mentoring by Andrew Crofts will be conducted by email. No guarantee of eventual publication is made. The winning story will be aimed at the UK/US fiction market.
